[QUOTE="CycleTech, post: 1478129, member: 145826"] Leak down test. The rotary disc is designed to seal best when the piston is on the down stroke (pressure increase in crank chamber) and when on the up stroke (crank chamber in vacuum state). The pressure and vacuum push or pull the disc up against its accompanied Oring on either side of the disc. Because of this during the leak test it has to be done using pressure and then using vacuum and see the loss either way. Most times I've seen issues with the rotary intake its either ignition timing(points) issue or just badly worn rings causing excessive blowby that actually lights off the accompanying air/fuel charge in the crank chamber.
