ok hey guys first off, im doing a top end rebuild on my 98 kx125 how exactly do i drain the radiator?just pull the hoses?

and second, could excessive engine braking or coasting kill my top end?

umm

as for the draining the coolant, yeah, pull the hoses, and tip the bike over to let it all spill out, thast what i did, and im assuming that enigine braking would be bad, bad for the clutches i imagine, and coasting with your clutch engaged would not be bad if it was adjusted correctly, hopefully a more experienced rider will tell you more :)

+1, your water pump cover has a drain plug. use it first, then pull the hoses.

Coasting won't hurt your top end. Dirt hurts it, inadequate lubricant hurts it, detonation from lean carburetion or low octane fuel hurts it and lots of high RPM running will wear it sooner.
