I have been researching and reading several different forums which recommend running a 2008 carb on the older year motors. The 2008 uses a 40mm Keihin flat-slide while the 2007 uses a Keihin 40.0mm flat-slide with throttle position sensor (TPS). I also noticed the CDI on the 2007 has an electronic advice and the 2008 does not. On another note, I got a price quote from service Honda to get a 2007 or new CRF250R and the recommended the 2008 carb. I guess what I am asking is will the 2008 carb work with the 2007 CDI or will I need to get the 2008 CDI. Thanks
