82 yz250 missing on the top end

The bike works good low to mid range but when you wine it out it falls on its face. Thanks for any help.

rebuild it or check reeds and ignition

What do I check on the reeds? When you say ignition doyoumean timing? Thank You

check the reeds for cracks or chips and replace them if any are found.also, make sure they lay flat against the reed block.for the ignition you need to make sure that you have a good enough spark and that your timing is correct.you should have a fat blue spark if your ignition is in good shape.
