83' RM80 - Kickstart vs Pushstart?

I want to purchase a 1983 RM80 for my son. The bike that I can get goes well but the only problem is that the kickstart does not work and has not worked for some years. Previous owner always jump started the bike. I guess the question I am asking is; is this a easy enough problem to fix or should I leave the bike alone?

You should fix it, but it doesn't really hurt to bump start. I usually bump start mine because it is easier.

Not sure about RMs but take the cover off and inspect the gear in there.Its an easy fix if you need to replace the gear.Only thing is it may be hard to find one on a bike that old.
