If you haven't opened the package, take it back and exchange it!

If you can't exchange it, compare it to the old O-ring. O-rings aren't rocket science, they basically have a diameter, a thickness and a material. Since they were both intended for exhaust use they would both be of a suitable material. If the diameter and thickness match, use it. If it doesn't match, head back to the store and buy the right part.

For some reason I didn't check when I got it. The end of the pipe was wrapped up and I found out actually had the correct o-rings installed, just couldn't see them right away. Thanks!
