On Thursday July 17,2008 Gov. Jennifer Granholm, signed HB4323 into law making it Public act 240.

a big thank you for all that took the time to have thier voice heard over the last 2 years!!
WE Did IT!!!!

Now we move on to the counties!

Remember this signing makes all previous ordinaices NULL and VOID!

There is No Travel on Roads until the counties adopt the new law.

Tom - let me know if i can help up here in Montmorency County - the local sheriff is still a supportor, but there has been more negative mention within the county commishioners.

Another factor - elections coming up. I have no clue how the other candidate for Sheriff stands on this. My fear is simply to strike a contrast to his competition, and to pander to the commishioners etc, he might oppose.

Regardless - great news.

Something Positive from Lansing

I cannot say I have heard any better news that followed these words:
'Governor Jennifer Granholm signed a bill today...'

Bring on the local ordinances!

Have several counties doing just that, Roscommon opening up 31 miles of road, ogemaw and acouple of others sending in the 45 day notice of intent.
The Bill is signed and now the work begins.
