honda XR-50R carb questions

i have a 2001 honda xr-50r that has been having an issue running since a friend of mine messed with it.
1. you have to give it gas to start it....
2. once its running, as soon as you let off the gas it dies
3. it doesnt seem to have the power that it used to..

so,
does anyone have any ideas as to what a good screw adjustment setting is for the 2 screws on the car? as in how many turns out to start with for tuning?
and if atleast sumone could tell me what the 2 screws adjust.

any help would be appreciated.

Step 1: read the sticky at the top of this forum for how to properly clean your carb.
Step 2: learn how the various adjustments effect the operation of the carb by reading about them in the factory shop manual or using a the search feature here or something like Google.
Step 3: don't let your "friend" mess with your bike anymore.
