Darrin Peterson ( Ckeckers MC - D37) just posted this on the board
This is going to be awsome:
Per our meeting with BLM on tuesday the corradoor from lucern to arizona border is approved for a Point to Point race to end in parker arizona. We still need to meet with arizona BLM to confirm the arizona pasage and finnish area, Local BLM said it should be no problem with arizona... The race will be held on the weekend before Thanksgiving of 2004 11/20-21/04. The BLM is in full support of our event and can't wait to help out as the time grows near for this revival of a race long missed by many. There are many aspects and finer details that need to be worked out in the months to come for us. The finale absoulute go ahead will be when we "the Checkers" have all routing, maps, plans and the finner detailes for the event togather for review at a meeting with BLM in april or may of next year. We have chosen a date that we believe should not interfear in the national racing schedual for hopes of drawing riders from across the country to participate in this historic event. In history the event has drawn riders numbering into the thousands, we hope and feel that District 37and AMA will recognise this historic event and offer there assistance and district points to all riders under AMA and District 37 membership.......
