Kill Switch

How do i wire my kill switch???? it has 2 wires coming out of it.

its not the stock one, its a universal one off of ebay.

The wires don't really matter since there open until you push the button. Pushing the button grounds the switch...

Black to Black and color to color, that should work just fine.

a really old yamaha...1973 dt 3. i think it came with an original one. but its gone, and i wanna put one on it so that i can figure out how to have it so i dont have to use the key assembly

Sorry I can't recall that bike at this time without looking at it. I was assuming that you had wires on the bars and wondered which one went where.

I'm thinking that that bike came with an on/off rocker switch attached to the throttle mechanism, I could be wrong.

Perhaps all that stuff was tossed before you got it and they put an after market throttle on.

Take one of the kill switch wires and splice it into the wire that goes into you ignition coil, "there should only be one on the coil that ---does not--- have a spark plug attached to it".
The other kill switch wire gets grounded out some where on the frame.
