It would take 4 mm more over the std bore (54 mm) to get a 125 to 144. Now the questions are:
Does anyone knows how much cylinder wall thickness is left after shaving 2mm off????
Will it affect engine temperature????
Have anyone in the forum done it????

You want to do this yourself? I've heard it was a pretty tough job. Robwbright and probably others have 144s done by Eric Gorr.

Yes I have done quit a few. I use Eric's pistons .
No they do not run hot as long as it is jetted right.
There is plenty of cylinder wall left , going to 144cc's(+4mm).

Heck yeahhhhhh

I have done it before in cars and motorcycles in my own shop.
I actually have chromed plated the cylinder instead of Nikasil. No complaints at all...Perhaps I need to start offering big bore kits at discount prices. The pistons are readily available from the 56 mm +2.00 overbore of pre-1994 125's. So a big bore kit must be worth not more than a piston kit, rebore and replate and some porting matching...!
