Took some shots today of a friend's short barrel, silenced M4 ... (yes, he's legal), top of the line everything. For a mere $4,000 and some government approval, you too can have one.

No retouching, raw image. Black on black without losing detail is fun.

Nice but less gizmos than the ones were issued in OIF. I personally like/want and M-16A2 like I learned on in the 70's. Full auto back then none of the newest 3 round burst BS.

Correct me if I'm wrong but, Civilians can't legally own full auto or even 3 round burst rifles. Notice how this one only has safe and semi. Still a nice gun. If I were to have a gun I'd want a SAW like the one I carried in Iraq in 05. For those that dont know what a SAW is, it's a light machine gun, 5.56mm, belt-fed.

Pay enough in taxes (license) and you can own full-autos. Pretty sure you can also own pre-ban autos, of course a pre-ban MP5 will cost you $30,000. :whoa: I've never checked into it in detail so I may be wrong, but know there are owners out there with "machine guns".

A Class 3 license will allow you to own one, being able to afford to buy and feed one in another story.

Nice.

. . . shall not be infringed. . .

All the licenses and taxes are clearly infringements. We all should be able to own full auto with no background check, etc. . .

I like pretty Rifles...

And I like the one shot approach.

Will see your FA mode, raise you one lever action and a steady hold.....

I have no real problem with the background check, it only takes a few minutes. The rest of the ownership and carry loops are total infringements

What brand is that M4 Okie? Its very nice. And yes there are states where you can own a Class 3 Weapon and not be a dealer. Illinois is not one of them :(

I've got a buddy that has a .50 BMG. Haven't had the chance to fire a few hundred dollars thru it yet. :(

Noveske supports a lot of shooters in 3-gun, including Rob Romero.

On a related note, if you haven't been catching "3-Gun Nation" on TV, set the DVR. On the east coast it comes on a 07:30 Monday and again at 15:00 Thursday.

http://www.3gunnation.com/

Next week I go to Vegas to help RO for the 3-Gun USPSA Nationals and the $25,000 3-Gun Nation match the day following. Should be very interesting.
