I don't have a problem with the rear tire hitting the fender but I am not an aggressive rider. Do make sure that you cut it in the exact right place or else the bolts won't line up. I also sent my seat to a professional to have the seat foam cut down & that took off another inch. I've also raised the front forks and had the suspension set up and lowered.
