Try Fusion paint by Rust-Oleum, it's made for plastic.
It takes a little more abuse than regular rattle can paint.

I wouldn't paint plastics on bikes, it will eventually wear off. If you want to change the looks, go with a different color of plastic, and purchase a decal kit to snazz up your ride....

True ... but some of us aren't in a position to buy a new plastic kit and graphics, thus... wanting to paint it.

My first bike? I made a front number plate out of a piece of 1/4" plywood and hand painted the number on it. All these years later, that bike has as many good memories attached to it as any bike I've ever had.

Yeup, my first bike was a cl-100, scrambler, at the time I was reading cycle world, and I saw the plastic bikes and became obsessed, LOL! Sorry Okie, but im a sucker for 80's classic bikes! And the ads in the mags were over the top!
