Places to ride in S/E Michigan?

Im problaby going to be getting a Bike sometime between now and spring, wondering if anyone knows of any places to ride in the S/E michigan area, i would love to know about them. I live right by Detroit, so the closer to that the better. Trails, tracks open fields are all cool as long as they are legal.

Couple of really decent tracks across the border. Walton is home to the CMRC Pro/Am, your probably about 2 hours from the track...

You will want to check out the Cycle Conservation Club (CCC)in Michigan. They create and maintain several hundred miles of trails in Michigan. You can join the club for $25 a year. The club will send you maps of the state and a magazine to keep you up to date on organized rides. Michigan also requires an ORV sticker that will run you about $17 a year. Well worth it when you can ride on any trail in the state.
