storing your dirt bike

When you store a dirt bike or when you just aren't riding it, is it a good idea to put the bike up on a stand with the suspension off of the ground? Because I have always thought that it would weaken your suspension over time if you didn't, plus weaken your seals. Is this true or not? Thanks Brandon

Brandon- I noticed you had no replys on your question yet.I don't know for sure but I don't think just having under it's own load is a big factor.I think there built to tuff for just sitting there to matter.On the other hand if you were letting it sit for many months it couldn't hurt to put it on a stand as far as I know

I dont put the bike up on the stand as i have a lock that goes through the outside wall-i think i wont harm anything.Seals work better under pressure.
