A drag race with big jumps, long whoop sections and interesting rhythm sections. Camel backs, dragon backs, table tops. Seems the big air is missing, as scrubbing is vital to set-up for the next obstacle, no time to rest here. The Future? Could it knock SX off the top of the Made-For-TV throne? No doubt SX is the highest dollar grossing form of motorcycle racing, it’s comfortable for fans to watch in person and it’s easy to televise … after all modern stadiums were built to facilitate television. Motocross doesn’t fair as well; the positives mentioned above, is the opposite for MX. Sunburns, weather, viewing large parts of the track are most times difficult from one location. TV crews spread out over large areas, no commercial breaks built in, you name it, there are many reasons MX is less desirable to those than would televise it. Ever wonder why watching a race on a typical weekend means switching channels, sometimes at crazy times, or streaming only broadcasts happen?
