Division Champions: 1993, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000 Welcome to the cyber-space front office of the Oklahoma Switzers Baseball Club. The Oklahoma Switzers are a computer baseball franchise in the SouthWest Baseball Association (SWBA), an Internet baseball league utilizing the Diamond Mind Baseball simulation. The Switzers were granted an expansion SWBA franchise in 1990 and have since enjoyed great success, garnering seven division titles in their twelve SWBA campaigns, including the SWBA title in 1998. The Switzers front office is committed to putting a quality product on the diamond each and every year. Heavy emphasis is placed on the scouting of minor league talent, the lifeblood of any successful baseball organization. The team values hitters who control the strike zone: the Switzers collect as many hitters who draw walks as possible. Team Owner Pat Burroughs' wet dream is a team that draws 1000 walks. The team takes its nickname from legendary Oklahoma football coach Barry Switzer, and tries to embody the traits of both the man and his Sooner squads: looseness, entertainment, a touch of wackiness, and above all, excellence. |
