| Occupation | Freelance Art Director/Graphic Designer (got tired of dealing with ad agency politics. Account Reps should not be handed crayons at birth.) |
| Hobbies | Collect movie posters (artwork that I like) along with well designed baseball & football cards, fishing, golf, art, movies, music, history, parties at the lake, run a fantasy football league (great news letters), renovating our home (if I include it as a hobby, maybe it will sound like I enjoy it). |

| Favorite player(s) - past or present | Retired...Killebrew, Yaz, Hrbek, Puckett, Clemente, Bob Gibson (pitcher). New...the Twins that are brought through their own farm system. Most everyone on the Mudhens. |
| What I look for in a hitter | Anyone whose name isn't mentioned in the same sentence with the Mendoza Line. |
| What I look for in a pitcher | Anyone whose name isn't mentioned in the same sentence with Tommy John's. |
| Are you (personally) highly competitive? | Oh Yeah! If I didn't, why compete at all? But like Kirby Puckett, I'm not going to break my arm diving for a ball (but then he didn't have to). |
| Number of years in SWBA | I've been in 3, the first 6 I was the doormat. That's 9 total for all you back slashin', semi colon, PC hackers. |
| Additional Comments | Someone oughta start a petition to get Hawk Harrelson off the airwaves. He's the reason why I'll never draft a White Sox player (so I don't have to listen to his obnoxious rantings). I think Jim Kaat understands the game as well as any manager and I miss his broadcasts. I absolutely love playing in the SWBA. Joe has done a fantastic job building and running a league where it feels like you own a real tangible franchise. All that's missing are those Polish with Fried Onions one can buy at Comiskey (if you're there you don't have to listen to Hawk). The league has also given me a more appreciation of the game of baseball. Following players I may not have given a damn about otherwise, because of salaries. I take greater satisfaction in building a team through drafting, as opposed to trading. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but It's seems a lot easier guessing... Hey! McGwire, Sosa and Griffey seem like good players. Which means, my eight year building plan has finally come to fruition!!! I get tired of hearing how the American League is easier to manage in. Well let me see...If I'm behind in the 7th inn. in the National League, men on, and my pitcher is up, what do I do? Pinch hit? What a no-brainer that is. I think it's a lot harder to know when to pull your pitcher in the AL. (ed. note - now these are additonal comments!) |
