I had just bought a 520-114 chain for my 2001 cr 125 and realized it was to short...The bike is suposed to come with a 13-51 gearing stock...from the dealership it came with 13-52 I just put on 13-53 one extra tooth from what it had when I got it new. So I allready threw out the old chain and the 114 is to small. How long should I go 116 ? 118 ? Anyone have this gearing on there 01 cr 125 ?
I need to go to the dealership on thursday to get it so I can be riding by the weekend . Thanx in advance.

Take a look at it and first see where your chain adjusters are. A 116 might just do ya, but if you know how to remove links, I'd get a 118 to be safe. When you get it you can make it the size you need. :D

I just use a hand grinder but just make sure your careful 116 links will be to short. It ends up being like 117-118 links with that gearing. I know cause I did this I had an '01.

:uh: <-- that rules

For the money we spend on chains, a chain breaker is a must have item. I've used a punch and bfh a million times, but one must be careful not to screw up even one bushing or plate.

Be careful grinding pins. The slag will fly all over hells half acre and that's not a good thing, especially for you o-ringers.
