kendall crashed

at xtremeworld in tulsa. it was on the first lap of the first moto, on a step-down tabletop. kendall was running fourth, the guy in second looped it out, then the guy in third crashed into him. kendall came over the jump, saw the crash and grabbed a handful of front brake and cartwheeled it. she face-planted and slid head-first into the underside of the first bike. her bike ended up about fifty feet on down the track. she has a compression fracture of the collarbone. the e.r. doc said it was a very unusual break but a simple one. she has a big lump on her knee too. she'll go to an ortho this week for prognosis. :ugg:

Sorry to hear that Kendall. I think we've all grabbed the brakes in the air hoping that we could stop in time to miss the accident in front of us...only to become part of it. Don't over think it, and get back on the bike and enjoy riding. Accidents happen (even at my advanced age), but you learn something every time.
