Hey everybody-

I have a question about the hotter spark plug number for my 99 KX100. The stock plug number is an NGK R6252K-105. What is the "hotter" spark plug number for this bike? The bike has a BR9EG on it right now and I just wanted to know if this is the hotter plug before I buy a spare. Thanks--dirtfreak

What's the hotter plug, the BR9ES or the BR8ES? I'm assuming it's the 8 since you use it for trails. On my Honda, the lower number meant a hotter plug, so I'm assuming it's the same situation here.

Thanks everybody for your replies, I'll get the BR8ES or the BR8EG, I haven't decided yet (either that or the non resistor type plug of one of them).

If your bike's manual spec's a Resistor plug, I'd use it. No power/anti-fouling gains will be had from a non-R plug. It's strictly to eliminate the possiblity of EMF interference w/ your CDI box. Some CDI's are better shielded, etc and do not require a R plug. On the other hand I seriously doubt you will hurt your CDI using a non-R plug. Just FYI....
