I was just about to do a top end with parts supplied by the previous owner on my son's 02 KX65. All the part numbers check out fine except the piston. The part # I have for it is 13001-1589, and at ronayers.com it shows the piston as 13001-1630. Can anyone tell me if this piston is for a stock bore and if not what size is it? I dont have a micrometer to measure it.
Thanks

I have the 13001-1630 waiting to be dropped into my son's 02. I bought it without requesting an oversize, so I am quite certain that it is for the stock bore. Check the part numbers for an 06 bike, when I bought mine, I learned that the 02 and 06 pistons are not the same, I do not know exactly when (or why) it was changed.

Checking on buykawasaki.com shows 1630 as the replacement part for 1589 as well. I didn't want to say yea or nay and feel bad if it went wrong for you.
