Okay, whose been to Little Sahara? I have the info off the net, got the paddle tire and whip. I'll be traveling about 12 hours to ride the dunes. Are there trails to ride besides the dunes? Is September a good time to go(weather)? Should I stay away from the weekends due to crowds? Will the q**d riders go insane and ruin my trip?;) Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Jamir

September is a great time to go. There are a LOT of quads out there but Sept/Oct is pretty calm.

there are some trails at the dunes. of course, they are sand trails. mostly continous whoops. they are fun. there are a couple of places that you can run sand whoops for probably 1/4 mile straight in fourth or fifth gear. by the end, you are barely hanging on. it sounds like you are prepared. you will have a good time.

a few tips:
if you have an old chain and sprockets, use them.
run your rear wheel as far back as you can, the paddle tire can rub your swing arm and destroy your mud flap.
if you have old plastic, use it.
buy an extra flag before you get there. you will probably break one.
bring your own fuel, it's higher out there. i usually take 8-10 gallons for a two day ride.
