I would mess with it, and I would mess with it a lot! If you're going up in elevation, the air is less dense, so you will need less fuel, so you need to go down on the jet sizes. Probably 1 - 2 sizes smaller for the elevation change you're talking about. Get yourself a range of jets. I'd check what jets you have and then get 1 larger and 2 smaller for both the pilot and the main. This way you will have a range to test with.
