01 cr250. I need to rebuild my forks, what is the oil level, is this with the spring out and fully compressed? some one has said that I may need a special tool, what is it? p.s I also posted this in the wrong spot first, sorry ppl.

The 01 cr250 has a twin chamber fork .(I actualy own one of these bikes ) The oil is set by Volume not a level like a cartridge fork .
There are 2 special tools needed , a fork cap wrench and a damper rod stop . The D-rod stop hoild the damper rode outside of the fork so that you can loosen the lock nut on the base nut ( center nut ) @ the bottom of the fork so you can remove the inner chamber.
