I have an 05 yz 250f. part of the oil change process is removing a screen thing and clearing it of any debris. Anyone know how to remove this?? It looks like it could be just a wrench but I want to make sure before I start cranking on something....

thanks

Yep, it's like a 14mm crescent wrench. Hard to break loose the first time you do it because of the frame paint over the nut. You have to remove the oil line covers as well.

I found small twig-like pieces in there when my 250F was still pretty new :yikes: but usually people don't find anything in there. Just nice to have that frame strainer basket incase something bad would happen (like broken clutch plates).

And you don't need to check this every oil change, every 20-30 hours or so should be fine.

thanks Nikki...you've helped me with a bunch of stuff over the past year. Much appreciated. BTW you look fast in the video...I wouldn't even think of jumping that big step up...that track looks mint.
