Opinions on the 2007 250xc-w

Is this a good woods bike?
Does the '07 W have too tall of a 5th gear?
Any really good or bad things that stand out about this particular year and model?

I am pleasure riding only (no racing) in fairly tight trails, and I am coming off of a 2003 300MXC, am I going to notice a big loss of low end power?

250 Xc-w

07 250 XC-W is an excellent motorcycle to do what you have planned. Granted, after climbing off the 03 300 MXC, the 250 might feel a bit slower at first, but it's buttery smooth power will have you going faster than you realize. The suspension is where you will appreciate the XC-W more than your old MXC. The 03 forks were a little "confused".

As with all KTM's, set the rear shocks static sag at 35mm, fine tune the power valve spring to your liking, and your all set. Good Luck!
