While riding a long road section at 40-50mph during a Turkey Run this weekend the piston seized on the intake side in my 99 KX-250. I know have aluminum fused to the plating on my cylider. What is the best/easiest way to clean the aluminum off without damaging the Nikasil plating? Also what could have caused this? My jetting was rich enough, oil and gas was mixed at 40:1 and I had not been through any deep water.

When riding on pavement or hard surfaces for extended periods of time, you need to pull in the clutch when you decelerate. Did this happen on deceleration?

I have always used muriatic acid. Wear very thick gloves and be very careful.
