Please help, problem with kx85

hi i have a 2002 kawasaki kx 85 and i am having problems with it.
once i am about to kick into the second reed the bike starts bogging and will slowly shut down if you dont let off the throttle. Also what spark plug does the bike take because i cant seem to find it any where and i have heard many different suggestions from local motorcycle shops. i took out the reeds and they are pretty clean. they have a little rust on the flaps, could that be the problem? it has a clean air filter and have replaced the spark plug several times. i also have a few dents in the pipe could that be the problem?i am also running a 40:1 fuel mixture.
please help. any info is appreciated.

None of them guys in the shops recommended a shop manual? You need to make sure your engine is mechanically in good shape. Basic maintenance, a compression and leak down test will tell you if its mechanical or jetting. If you have metal reeds and they are rusty, they need to be serviced or upgraded, and ditto for the pipe!
