i have a honda xr 650 l 93 model and just bought it i need to adjust airscrew but there is some sort of cover on it that has to be drilled out and my problem is that in front of carb underside there are two covers one close to manifold and the other is close to bowl bowl has a tab on it and cover is just under tab which cover to be drilled out seems previous owner never did anything on bike just change oil and fill gas strange but thru please help me tony p

If you are talking about the "cap" on the FUEL screw (located on the front lower part of carb in front of float bowl), DON'T DRILL IT. Take a file or dremel and file the tab off of the cap just enough to clear the flange on the float bowl. You can turn the fuel screw in (I think) to get a better angle on that tab to grind it off.

Once done, you still have some of the tab left as a pointer/indicator to help count your turns in and out.
