01 RM250 help

I have an 01 RM250 with a pro circuit pipe n silencer. The bike has awesome power except while at low speeds it doesn't like to go, almost sounds like detonation and it sometimes bucks, then the power is just explosive. At idle it smokes and I am seeing some oil on my fender and swingarm. I set the air/fuel screw to 1.5 turns out and the choke to 12 clicks out as instructed by the manual. What else should I do to get my bike tuned better?

Your main problem is on bottom,if the air screw is not effective then the pilot jet is big. I would most definitely replace the float valve and check the floats,could just need cleaning and check the reeds.

So should I just get a smaller pilot jet then while checking the other stuff?
