hi i was reading an old article on the 01' RM250 from transworld mx and in their review it says that disconnectiong the throttle positioning sensor will improve the performance. i was just wondering if anyone has diconnected there tps and tried and if so did it improve performance at all and will disconnecting the tps interfere with the cdi or cause damage to the cdi?

here's a link to the article:

I asked Eric Gore when he ported my engine about that article and he advised me not to do it. It changes the ignition curve and disconnecting it negates it. With that said I did it anyway and didn't find any difference so it's been hooked back up ever since.

BTW...how does the '014 bike run? Do they still use gas way out in the future? ;)
