2000 KX80 Axle Torque

While I'm waiting for the service manual to arrive, could someone please enlighten me as to the tightening torque for the front and rear axle nuts on a 2000 KX80.

Crud two nights in a row that I've read this post while at work for the night shift and forgotten to look at my son's manual the next morning when I woke up. I will try to get the memory working and post it today. I am assuming the specs will be the same for my son's 99.

I don't think the KX80 changed much (if at all) from '98 through 2K.

I thought the formidable DRN team was going to let me down for the first time ... I should have known better. :worship:

Can't help you with the front at the moment but I just did the rear on my son's '02 85 and the torque is 58 ft/lbs. I'd imagine the 85 and 80 are the same or damn close.

Crank it down until just right before it strips.

The manual lists both axles at the same values which are:

58 ft-lb
8.0 kg-m
78 N-m
