2001 suzuki rm250 pipe question

Is it possible to fit a 2001 fmf gnarly on a 2000 engine on my 2001 rm250 ? I had to replace my engine and all I could get was a 2000.

You may be forced into "buy and try" on this one, I'm amazed a 2000 motor fits in a 2001 chassis. Wasn't there a total model change from 00 -01?
