The SuperBike shop in Evansville Indiana had one on the floor. Right next to the AWESOME 450 SX (can ya tell I want one). I'm currently riding a 2001 MXC 200. Bought it for the same reason you've described. I like to ride woods, but still enjoy MX. I only race on amateur level, so wasn't looking to put a lot of $$$ into the bike. I love it. Had some work done to front end suspension...and it hooks up good in the woods and pretty good on the track. I put FMF Gnarly with Delta 2 Valve and it flies. Not as much top speed as an EXC, but don't plan on riding open road. I need to work on the rear shock next.
The guys at SuperBike shop said the 200 SX is an animal. No comparison to 200 MXC/EXC. Not sure what you'll get over a 125 SX though. The talk is (because of less weight) that the springs are too much for the 2003 125-250 SX.
