Cant Get old clutch cable off

I have been trying to get this stupid cable off for half a hour now and its jammed between the top-end and the exhaust i dont wanna take the exhausts off just to get the cable off any one got any ideas, how would i go about getting the exhaust off ?

Undo the mounting bolts and take off the pipe springs.

well i got the cable threw the pipe and head but now i made a big problem, i broke the little mount that holds the clutch cable inplace just before the clutch :(

Anyone have any idea's on how to fix this ? maby hold the cable down with some zap straps ? or should i just take it the yamaha shop and pay the big bucks to get it fixed

Are you referring to the push lever assembly that the cable connects to on top of the case? If so it's available from your Yamaha dealer for about $15.

no im talking about the aluminum bracket like 3 inches from were the clutch cable connects to the clutch to keep it straight while going on the clutch

I have the piece that broke off do you think JB weld would hold it ?

yes, i think jb weld would hold it for sure, its some strong stuff.

But make sure you clean the surface real well (read the instructions.)
