Cylinder and Head mods

I was thinking about having cylinder and mead mods done to my 2001 YZ 125. I was wondering, would I have to run race gas, and if I did, could I mix it 50/50 with pump gas? Also, what type of race gas would you recommond.

It depends what type of bore kit you got. Whatever company you get it done by(Eric Gorr, RPM, e.t.c) just tell them what type of fuel you prefer. If you want maximum horsepower you will need to run race gas. I have ran 50/50 of VP c-12 and Shell premium and MC-1 oil and found that I would rather run straight c-12 . The more compresion usually means higher octane fuel.
