I have a 1996 Kawasaki kx100 and i currently need a new cylinder head. After researching i have come across on a great deal for a 2004 kx100 cylinder head.

Does the difference in years matter? Has Kawasaki changed the engine since then?

I would really like to buy this head, i just need it to fit!

Any help would be much appreciated, merry x-mas!

I get part#11001-1463 from service honda website and it is the same part# for 2004 and 2006. It appears that you'll be alright with the 04 head but click on service honda at the top of the page and research it yourself to be sure. 79 bucks for new head not to bad.

Thats weird. It shows a diff number for the years. The casting even looks diff if you look at it in the micro fiche. Good luck either way. It would probobly work I know for my cr125 everything is the same for like 10 or 15 years.

The big change in 98 and up has to do with the power valve
The cylinder head them self are most likey all the same from 1995 all 2008
