A new piece of legislation, HB1003 has been presubmitted to the Washington State Legislature. This bill would allow local land managers to permit offroad vehicle usage on non-highway roads.

Similar legislation was on it's way to passing last year when the legislature adjourned early to avoid voting on gay marriage.

Thanks for the update Tod. I know a lot of people over here have been just waiting for this one to come up again.

We were all pretty upset when it didn't get passed last year. Of course, the fee increase and NOVA revisions passed but this one just didn't seem to make it.

HB1003 has beem assigned to the House Natural Resources, Ecology and Parks Committee.
