So I was selling a ninja 250r and a buddy says Ill do 1800 plus a 86 cr125 that just needs rings :whoa: So I knew it was more then rings but go ahead with the deal. I pull the jug and boom right away I see that the piston is fried and on backwards  So I looked at the jug was scored a little so just honed it and bought a std wiseco piston kit installed it last night and got her to scream for me

Last bike I bought had piston in it backwards. Of course, the ring ends caught on the exhaust port, scoring it and breaking a chunk off the top of the piston. $40 bore, piston, rings and gaskets and it's ran great ever since. Gotta love people not watching (or knowing about) the arrow.
