A while back I had my Nikon D40X modified to be an infrared only camera. I was having some trouble getting good results from it because metering IR reflected light hasn't been really intuitive for me. I cracked open a couple of physics books and got a much better understanding of near infrared light waves and figured I would get back to shooting with this camera. I've been goofing around with it lately, and even though I still have a lot to learn, I'm starting to be able to "see" the ifrared light in various scenes. When it comes out right even a boring scene like the one below really comes to life. More to come.

Dave - That was around 1pm today. Sunny and no snow anywhere. The white is near infrared radiation being reflected off of the foliage. The camera was modified to block as much visible light as possible and only let the infrared waves through to the sensor.
