i have a 2004 kx250f and i started it the other day without the seat on it an could hear what sounded like someone tapping on a tin can comeing from down the intake pipe. i strait away pictured the inlet valves hitting the piston, is this whats happening?
The noise you here is the intake valves opening and closing. Put the seat and air filter back on and the noise will go away. If they dont then you have problems.
