I need help with some vin number help. Bought a yz 250, he said it was a 1990 model but I was on ebay a minute ago and I seen a seat for a 90 and it looks different from mine. Anyways I have the vin # and need a link or something to help me decode this thing. Thanks in advance. :whoa:

I had the exact same scenario happen to me. The seller said I was purchasing a 99 YZ250 but when I checked the VIN it turned out to be a 94. Look at your VIN number and find the 10th digit. It will be a letter "L" if it is a 1990.

I can't post a link because this site has a spam filter, as a new user I guess I am not allowed to post even a simple web link. Seems a bit silly but oh well. Just google "Vehicle Identification Numbers", I found a section on "autohausaz" that has the VIN codes listed.

Hope this helps!
