Hi im new to bikes and new to the forum. Was just wondering what ratio of gas to oil to use for a pw80 i have been told to use 25:1. And does anyone know any website i can order a new throttle cable from as mine has snapped ? Any help would be great.
A properly functioning PW80 does not require you to mix oil with the gas. You fill the tank under the seat with oil and put gas in the gas tank. There is an oil pump that inject the oil into the carb at the appropriate ratio. This pump is adjustable.
If you do premix, you should do so between 32 and 40:1. I use 40:1 in my mx bikes. 32:1 would lubricate a little bit better, i recommend motul 600 as it tends to produce little carbon build up. If you buy a new tank, get a manual so you can properly verify pump operation and bleed the oil lines.
