I was driving my honda crf230f on the road up to my neighbors and when i stopped on the driveway i pulled in the cluch and SNAP! :yikes: luckely i wasent on the road at 60mph when it broke. I was wondering why the cable snaped and if there was a better cable besides oem.

Huh? What terrible calamity would have occurred if you were going 60 MPH?

It's not like it is going to cause anything dramatic to happen and it won't even prevent you from shifting. It's only when you need to come to a stop that it is an issue.

A spare clutch cable is one of the things I keep in my spares box. They wear out and break. They are also prone to damage in a fall. Mine always break right at the clutch perch and if you inspect it regularly you can often see that it is about to break before it does.

You might want to consider replacing your throttle cable as well. I can ride the bike back to camp without the clutch lever/cable but throttle is rather essential.
