CO Mike Bomay stopped a group of ORVs for operating on a Mecosta County roadway. One ORV fled. After some time the subject returned to the scene. When asked why he had fled, the subject claimed he was not the person CO Bomay had been looking for and had just happened along. A computer check showed the subject had a PPO against him. The woman who had taken out the PPO against him just happened to be sitting on an ORV right next to CO Bomay. The man was arrested and lodged in jail for violation of the PPO and for failing to stop for an officer.
