Manual says 35 watts for headlight and 10 for the tail light.

Does anyone know what the mamimum wattage is that the stock stator will safely support as far as lighting goes??

I'm looking to install an Acerbis Blitz with the following specs:

"Dual 35W halogen lamps supply unsurpassed illumination'
38 degree flood beam; 10 degree pencil beam.
Central heat-resistant unit accepts bulbs up to 50W"

From the looks of it I know I will not be putting a 50 watter in it and probably will be limited to running only one of the 35 watters at the time using a high/low beam switch....

I think 40 watts is about the max, maybe 45 on a '91. My manual doesn't go back that far so I'm not sure. Do away with your tail light and the stock lighting coil should support one of the 35 watt headlight bulbs at a time with no problem.
