throttle

I jsut changed out my plastic throttle tube for a billet on my 97 rm, but now wheni start it it revs up whats wrong?

You didn't install it correctly. Check to make sure the end of the bars is not rubbing on the inside of the tube. Check to see if the grip is rubbing on the throttle housing. Make sure there is slight play in the throttle cable. Make sure that the new throttle tube matches the old one. Good luck, YZ165

Sounds like the dreaded grip glue under the throttle tube maybe. Pretty much you need to just pull everything apart and check your work.

adjustment

have you re-adjusted the throtle there is a bolt and lock nut edjust that until there is freeplay at each bar lock.
