Tight chain

I got a Honda XR 80 and the chain has no slack in it at all but the wheel is as far up as it will go.
Any suggestions?

How much slack is it supposed to have?
If it has a chain that's too short, you've got three options;

1) get a new chain.
2) put a smaller sprocket on it.
3) Get a couple more links and another masterlink; not a good idea.

Generally, 20-30mm of slack between the sprokets will meet any dirt motto. You should measure it while on the side stand without load.
